"At the time, I don't think anyone really knew what we were working on would be a cd. I would sort of wake up and go tinker in the rehearsal room, experimenting with whatever instruments were lying around, some endeavors turning out better than others. These are my first forays into "writing" songs. Personal thoughts of the day ended up being subject matter for the songs, i.e. Christmas Time was written in December. I personally had a wonderful time reconnecting with what I feel was the way music should be done. It has continued to be fun playing the keyboard, especially because at the time, I was "guitared" out. I was excited at the possibility of using keyboards in a "non-dancy" way. I feel that lyrics are not necessary for my songs since you can clearly understand what I'm saying, and my lyrics tend to be simple and to the point. My favorite memory from this period would be taking a shower one evening and writing and recording within the next hour that would become "She'd Walk A Mile". I feel lucky and excited to have an outlet for my music in the form of Western Vinyl."
